What Is Pool Acid Washing?
Acid washing is a deep-cleaning process ideal for plaster pools with heavy staining or high levels of cyanuric acid (CYA).
We apply a specially formulated solution of muriatic acid blended with our proprietary cleaning ingredients, which removes a thin layer of buildup and embedded contaminants.
This process effectively removes discoloration, bacteria, and CYA compounds trapped in the plaster, helping to prevent future staining and chemical imbalance.
Note: Acid washing is recommended for plaster pools only. It is not suitable for PebbleTec® or damaged plaster, as it can erode the surface.
Pressure Washing for PebbleTec® Pools
For PebbleTec® and exposed aggregate pools, we use high-pressure washing instead of acid. This method safely removes dirt, algae, and stains while maintaining the integrity of the textured surface.

- Recommended for plaster pools only (acid wash).
